UAS Image Post Processing Services

AeroGeoNautics Inc is dedicated to providing a dynamic and innovative suite of services that not only accommodate the various GIS and remote sensing needs of our own clientele, but that of other service providers who use UAS technology.  Subsequently, AeroGeoNautics Inc provides the following post-processing services:

Tier 1: Mosaic and Colour Balancing – At this level of post processing, we mosaic and colour balance individual images into one seamless image.  This level of post-processing is suited for clients who do not require a high degree of accuracy, e.g. preliminary site assessment in construction, exploration, and recreation.  We can deliver these images in JPG or TIFF formats with coordinates referenced in a text file. 

Tier 2: Georeferencing – At this level of service we georeference our images using an auto triangulation algorithm (AT), which provides images with up to 5 meters of accuracy. However, this service does not take into consideration the typology represented in the images captured.  This level of post-processing is ideal for virtually any form of asset management and/or site assessment.  This service can be delivered in JPG, TIFF or ECW format with associated word file. 

Tier 3: Orthorectification – We achieve the orthorectification of images using georeferenced images and digital elevation models (DEM) created through the AT process. A specific camera calibration is used to reduce distortions caused through interal-camera parameters.  Additionally, roll and pitch data is utilized to further reduce distortions and increase accuracy.  These images are available in JPG, TIFF or ECW format with associated world file.  For engineering-grade accuracy, GPS ground control points will be required for submission.

Note: In January, 2009 a variety of other post-processing services will be offered, including 3-D modeling, raster images analysis (NDVI), Near-Infrared (NIR) remote sensing, and volume calculations using 3-D and stereo processes.
